Μελβάνι Νίκος

Ο Νίκος Μελβάνι είναι διδάκτωρ Βυζαντινής Αρχαιολογίας και Τέχνης του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι ερευνητής στο Ινστιτούτο Ιστορικών Ερευνών του Εθνικού Ιδρύματος Ερευνών στην Αθήνα. Την περίοδο 2015-2016 είναι υπότροφος του Koç University/Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for Late Antique and Byzantine Studies (GABAM) στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Έχει δημοσιεύσει μία μονογραφία για την Υστεροβυζαντινή Γλυπτική και πολλά άρθρα με θέμα τη βυζαντινή γλυπτική, τη βυζαντινή επιγραφική και την ιστορική τοπογραφία της Κωνσταντινούπολης.

Nicholas Melvani received his PhD in Byzantine Archaeology and Art History from the University of Athens. He is a researcher at the Institute for Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation in Athens. He is currently a fellow at the Koç University/Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for Late Antique and Byzantine Studies (GABAM) in Istanbul. He has published a monograph on Late Byzantine Sculpture and several articles on Byzantine sculpture, Byzantine epigraphy, and the historical topography of Constantinople.
