Peltz Uwe

Ο Δρ. Uwe Peltz ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική του σταδιοδρομία ως συντηρητής το 1986 στο Post Museum της Λαϊκής Δημοκρατίας της Γερμανίας. Το 1989, μεταπήδησε στην συντήρηση μεταλλικών αντικειμένων στα Εθνικά Μουσεία του Βερολίνου. Σπούδασε από το 1989 έως το 1993 στο Βερολίνο. Από το 1991 είναι συντηρητής στη Συλλογή Αρχαιοτήτων στο Νησί των Μουσείων του Βερολίνου. Το 2020 ολοκλήρωσε τη διδακτορική του διατριβή στην ιστορία της αποκατάστασης των χάλκινων αρχαιοτήτων στην Ακαδημία Καλών Τεχνών της Στουτγάρδης. Οργάνωσε εκθέσεις και συνέδρια για την τρέχουσα και την ιστορία της συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης, καθώς και για τις αρχαίες τεχνικές κατασκευής. Δημοσίευσε πολλά άρθρα και μονογραφίες για αυτά τα θέματα.

Dr Uwe Peltz began his professional career as a conservator and restorer in 1986 at the Post Museum of the GDR. In 1989, he moved to the restoration of metal objects at the National Museums in Berlin. He studied from 1989 to 1993 in Berlin. Since 1991, he has been a restorer at the Collection of Antiquities on Berlin's Museum Island. In 2020 he finished his PhD on the history of restoration of archaeological bronzes at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. He organized exhibitions and conferences on the current and the history of conservation and restoration, as well as on ancient manufacturing techniques. He published numerous articles and monographs on these topics.
