Ο Mark Solms γεννήθηκε το 1961 στη Νότια Αφρική. Είναι ψυχαναλυτής, λέκτορας Νευροχειρουργικής στο St. Bartholomew’s and Royal London School of Medicine. Είναι διευθυντής του Arnold Pfeffer Center for Neuro-Psychoanalysis στο New York Psychoanalytic Institute.
